The Whitehall Musical Groups Compete in Virginia! May 15-18, 2008 |

Last weekend, members of Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Indoor Percussion and Wind Ensemble competed in the 2008 Fiesta-Val Invitational Music Festival in Virginia Beach and Williamsburg. Events included: judged performances, a ghost tour of Colonial Williamsburg, a fun day in Busch Gardens topped off with the awards ceremony on Saturday evening in Busch Gardens! The Music Groups achieved the following scores and awards: Jazz Band- 86.0 points

- Lizzie Brodt received "OUTSTANDING SOLOIST awards"
- Steven Crammer received "OUTSTANDING SOLOIST awards"
Wind Ensemble- 88.7 points
- Excellent Rating
Concert Band- 92.5 Points
- SUPERIOR rating
Marching Band- 95.1 Points
- SUPERIOR Rating
- Special award for BEST Drum Major
- Special award for BEST Percussion
- Special award for BEST Colorguard
- Overall Award for BEST MARCHING BAND!!!!!
