TENTATIVE ITINERARY

WHS Wildwood Trip

 ***Please note:  The directors and staff will make ALL decisions regarding changes in this itinerary due to weather, etc... All chaperones and students will be notified of any potential changes by the directors, staff, and school administration.  Note also there are several items marked “TBA” – this is due to unknown circumstances at this point in time (such as the pending results of prelims, semi-finals, and finals).

Thur, Apr 30

7:30 am – Report to WHS – football stadium

                 1 piece of luggage and 1 carry one per person limit

7:45 am – If you’re not at school by this time, I’m calling you!!!!!!

8:00 am – Depart WHS for Wildwood

10:15 am – Brunch stop at Farley Plaza (lunch or breakfast, you decide)

                   Plaza houses a Burger King, Starbucks, Kentucky Fried Chicken

                   Snacks available for purchase

                   You will get $9 back for this meal

11:00 am – Continue drive to Wildwood

12:00 noon – Arrive at Wildwood

                      Check into Condos – “Aqua Beach”

                      Upon check-in, inform Mr. H of anything not working properly

1:00 pm – drumline and guard meeting – tour convention center (performance site)

1:30 pm – drumline practice schedule and free time TBA (expect WAY MORE practice time than

                       free time)

2:40 pm – Guard board bus for Rec center

3:00 pm Guard rehearsal at Rec center

6:00 pm – Guard rehearsal concludes, transfer back to hotel

6:30 pm – Dinner – Hamburger and Hot Dogs on the BBQ! (weather permitting – subject to change)

7:30 pm – Rehearsal/Free time

10:19 pm – Drumline performs in prelims

12:00 midnight – lights out

 

Fri, May 1

7:00 am – Good morning!

8:00 am – Breakfast

9:00 am – Rehearsals

TBA – Lunch (depends on guard performance time)

1:45 – 4:43 – Guard prelims (exact time depends on score at 4/18 competition)

Fri, May 1 (continued)

6:30 pm – Supper

7:15 pm – Rehearsal / free time

11:00 pm – In rooms

11:30 pm – Lights out

 

Sat, May 2

TBA – Wake-up call (could be early!!!!)

TBA – Breakfast

9:00-11:00 am – Guard semi-finals at MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HS

12:00 – Lunch

             Rehearsals, Free time

5:00 pm – Supper

7:56 pm – Whitehall Drumline Finals Performance

8:20  pm – Awards

9:00 pm – Return to hotel

                 Free time at the discretion of staff

11:15 pm – room check

11:30 – lights out

 

Sun, May 3

TBA – Wake-up call

TBA – Breakfast

9:56 – 11:08 am – Guard Finals

11:30 am– Free time

3:00 pm – Retreat or Depart Wildwood if guard is not in finals

4:30 pm – Depart Wildwood if guard in finals

                 Supper stop on the way home – you will get $9 for this meal

7:00 pm – if guard is not in finals, arrive in Whitehall, unload instruments/equipment

8:30 pm – if guard is in finals, arrive in Whitehall, unload instruments/equipment

 

***Students will be instructed to call home on cell phones as to our departure time.

***Students will also call home when we are 30 minutes away from Whitehall

 

***All students will be expected to help UNLOAD equipment for middle school performance on Monday

 

***All students are expected to be IN SCHOOL MONDAY May 4 ON TIME!

Middle School Performance (guard and drumline)

Pack your lunch!!!

You will miss classes from about 10:30 to end of day

ARRANGE FOR A RIDE HOME – you will NOT be able to take bus home
