April 30th thru May 3rd Whitehall Indoor Percussion and Colorguard at Tournament of Bands All-Chapters Championships From Mrs. Cramsey Just a personal thank you to everyone who donated all the food, helped with the many truck unloads and loads, cooked all those meals and made sure everyone had enough to eat and to all the chaparones for keeping our kids organized and safe during mine and my son's last Wildwood trip. Adam and I enjoyed each and every year at Wildwood, and will certainly miss this event the most as Adam moves on to graduate. Thanks again to all....! What I learned in Wildwood as a chaperone is that…. 1. Indoor percussion practices and practices and practices 2. Forgetting the ToyBox can be devastating 3. I can only lift 20 cases of water before I get tired 4. Mr. Schwindenhammer takes great pictures of our children in all emotional ranges and his Ferris wheel picture is breath taking 5. I love Mr. Michaels 6. good sportsmanship is demanded (as it should be) 7. playing “pass the pigs” on the cold concrete floor of the Wildwood Convention Center is a good time. I recommend it 8. having Mrs. Graveno as a roommate was great fun, except when she grinds her teeth (just kidding) 9. rain is comforting while in the security and warmth of your own home, however, it is problematic and annoying while walking on the board walk, moving equipment and practicing 10. twirling swords, flags and riffles is not as easy as it looks 11. it is acceptable to substitute the letter “o” for the number “0” 12. Mrs. Cramer’s chocolate chip cookies are the best 13. Cassie (percussion) will only eat smashed fruit 14. a large group of girls can sound like a stampede of giggling elephants 15. I acquired another daughter (Jasmine) 16. boardwalk psychics have no idea what they are talking about! (at least I hope not) 17. the kids who participate in activities like this are learning valuable lessons that will translate into their adult life-dedication, persistence, accepting a perceived defeat, the ability to get along with others, and with hard work anything is possible. 18. this program couldn’t exist without the continued support and guidance of Mr. Roman, Rob, Jason, Mr. Zip, Mr. Hilborn, Jamie and Jess (and all of those that I may have forgotten, sorry!) 19. this program couldn’t exist without the support and volunteerism of parents like, Chris Surovey, Chris Cramsey, Billy and Maryann, Pat and Rick, Anita, Chris G, Kiera, Sue G and all of the parents who donated food and their time at other functions 20. that I had the wonderful fortune to see my daughter learn and grow and become a member of a tight knit group of great kids
