2008 Music In Movement Show

This past Saturday, March 29th, the Whitehall Music Parents Association sponsored the annual Music In Movement Indoor Show at Whitehall High School. Over 58 groups from the region performed for a full crowd of proud parents, relatives, friends and student peers. The Whitehall indoor show always seems to draw a big crowd and this year was no exception!

The groups ranged from twirlers to dance teams and from percussion groups to color guard. Ages ranged from elementary to adult. The Tournament of Bands judges were on-hand to professionally score and critique all the groups, supplying helpful comments to all groups to assist in further development and improvement of each groups' performance.

The entire event was planned and run by the Whitehall Instrumental music staff and the Whitehall Music Parents Association along with many volunteers from the Whitehall area. Heading up the organization of the show, Mr. Dale Michael has this to say:

"Thank you to everyone that helped by donating their time, food, or basket to the show which went very well and it did so because everyone did a great job. An extra big THANK YOU  to all the committee members that put effort into making this show a success because without your organizing, this show would not have worked.  And I really need to say that Michelle Relyea out did herself this time because everyone from every group LOVED the food and I received comments all day about our food court.  We may have had our bumps in the road but the show as far as the other groups and their directors comments, went very well and we have had MANY compliments about how we at Whitehall really know how to put on a show. Thank you all for a great day."

Bill Snook, from Brandywine Heights Indoor Percussion Ensemble, had this to say:

"Congrats to your staff and the music booster association for a great show this past Saturday! The show ran wonderfully and the students, staff and parents attending thought the food was the best they’ve had! Best of luck throughout the remainder of the season."

Needless to say, this year's show was a resounding success!
